ABOUT

Pursuing the highest quality
of hot-coiled springs in the world!

Preparation of manufacturing instructions

Prepared with massive amounts of manufacturing data, these instructions specify the best processing and conditions for making each individual product to its specified purpose and contracted specifications.

Material heating

To ensure uniform heating and to prevent decarburization across the entire length and profile of materials, heating is carefully controlled for each piece of material using a system consisting of an induction heater and a holding furnace filled with N2 gas.

Coiling

Since every order specifies a spring of different configuration, we use a 6-axis coiling machine that gives us free control over the rise angle from the edge coils to the active coils, and the pitch of active coils. It is the only machine of its kind in the world and allows us to make one-of-a-kind springs.

Rough milling of end faces

To enhance spring characteristics, both end faces are ground flat. Though called “rough milling,” it requires high precision processing and is instrumental to ensuring the best quality.

Heat treatment

Heat treatment is looked at as the process that breathes life into a hot-coiled spring. Whether for quenching or annealing, a batch furnace is used to ensure high quality. Moreover, to ensure uniform heat treatment and to minimize any thermal deformation, soaking and oil quenching are done manually.

Preloading

Here, the spring is loaded for the first time as the first step to permanently setting the spring. It enhances the shaping precision of later processing and, together with the full loading that is applied after finishing, serves to prevent settling in use.

Tuning

Engineers finish each individual hot-coiled spring to the ideal configuration by manually fine-tuning the spring to its purpose and specifications.

Finishing

Each spring is carefully checked for harmful flaws, burrs, etc., and given the best quality finish by hand.
