Heavy duty compression spring
for safety valve

A compression spring for a safety valve must instantly release pressure and close the moment that a gas or steam reaches or exceeds its pressure setting, and must continuously function as such over a long periods of time.
Tokaibane's springs are carefully manufactured to assuredly fulfill those roles, therefore can be safely used over an extended period of time. They also make it easier to set blowoff pressure to high degree of accuracy.
Moreover, for customers that require more stringent pressure control, we can make to order springs that smoothly and dexterously operate the valve stem in order to control the amount of load that escapes perpendicular to the axis and the travel distance when the coil spring compresses in the axial direction. And,if even greater assurances are needed, we can add special processing that minimizes settling even in extended use.

And our company, by developing a testing machine to measure the eccentric force and utilizing know-how on eccentric force and modification technologies mastered by our craftsmen made it possible to suppress the eccentric force to match the intended usage of the spring.

Heavy duty compression spring
for static actuator

A compression spring used as a static actuator must have both a long stroke and highly precise spring property. However, a long stroke requires a high slenderness ratio, which can readily cause a coil spring to buckle and resultantly cause contact between the guide shaft and spring case that makes it difficult to obtain a highly precise spring property.
Bearing that in mind, Tokaibane can design spring configurations to resist buckling and additionally control buckling in the manufacturing process, in order to deliver compression springs that have both a long stroke and a highly precise spring property. And, we can add special processing that minimizes settling even in extended use.

Moreover, if a single compression spring does not provide sufficient load or stroke as a static actuator,we can propose combinations of multiple compression springs. In such case, the winding directions of the springs and clearance between them are carefully designed to prevent contact and entanglement between springs.
