Please tell us how to calculate the spring constant when the material, wire diameter, and length of the spring are the same but the number of windings (pitch) is different. We are not designing a spring, but are examining the flexibility of an exhaust pipe, and are investigating the difference in performance due to the difference in pitch. I thought that the concept is the same as that of springs, so I was looking into it.
