Question Spring Newbie

We are considering using Inconel X750 material for heat resistance.
Could you tell me the general heat treatment temperature and time for this material? Also, if you know the tensile strength after the heat treatment, it would be helpful if you could tell me. The wire diameter is φ1.8 and it will be made into a compression spring.

Answer Tokai Spring

Spring Newbie, thank you for your post!

If it is a coil spring with a wire diameter of Φ1.8, there is a heat treatment condition called No. 1 temper.
Assuming that the material has gone through solution treatment, the processing conditions are as follows.
Precipitation hardening: 732°C x 16 hours; Air-cooled
Tensile strength: Approximately 1200N/mm^2
In addition, heat treatment conditions may be changed according to the usage conditions.

For your reference, the SPECIAL METALS CORPORATION catalog also describes the above conditions.
