Spring Design

Design information for engineers, such as spring calculation formulas,

which are the basis of spring design, can be found here.

Notes About The Design

[Pay attention to any changes due to compression such as deflection, coil diameter, and/or number of active coils]
When compressed, the pitch of the conical spring does not bend evenly, but contracts from the point with the large diameter.
Therefore, as the compression progresses, the coils themselves or the coil and the support plate come into contact with each other, thereby affecting the number of active coils and the size of the coil diameter.

・Whether or not there is adhesion
・Whether the coils are bonded together or the coils and the support plate are bonded together

As the calculation formulas differ due to the differences above, when calculating, clarify the spring state and conditions before using the appropriate formula.
