Question Karthikeyan

What is the modulus of rigidity of SAE9254 Spring Material? and Where it is mentioned?

Answer Tokai Spring

Dear Karthikeyan,

Thank you very much for your question!
According to JIS B 2704 – the design standard for coil springs, the recommended modulus of rigidity is 78.5 GPa.
You can check this site out for more information.

(Click on the “View Data” button in the Property Data table)
The rigidity varies slightly depending on the documents even for the same steel type.

If you have any other questions, please let us know.

Best regards,
