Stacking disc springs in series

Answer Tokai Spring

I don’t know what kind of application they will be used for, but in the case of series stacking, if the guides are firm, I think that there is no problem with 20 or more series.
On the other hand, when the number of parallel stacks is large, the friction causes the hysteresis phenomenon, and the load characteristics when the springs are compressed and decompressed are different. We recommend up to 4 pieces of springs for parallel stacking.
Although it depends on the manufacturing accuracy of H22.5, when the disc springs are compressed, the inner diameter becomes larger and the outer diameter becomes smaller. Please contact us for an appropriate guide method for these disc springs.

Question Spring Newbie

Is there an appropriate number of springs stacked in series together when using disc springs? Because I just think that if the number of contact points increases, the friction will decrease… The springs in question are 16 to 20 pieces of H22.5 disc springs stacked in series.
