I am wondering if a torsion spring with variable rigidity can be manufactured or not. My thinking is that it is possible to change the torsional rigidity by adjusting the pitch of the torsion springs to some extent. Is this correct?
In the case of torsion springs, the rigidity is determined by the material, wire diameter, coil diameter, the number of coils. And, the change in rigidity is not determined by the pitch of the spring.
