If the conditions such as the wire diameter and material of the springs are the same, can two single torsion springs be considered to have the same performance as one double torsion spring? (The number of coils is 2a for double spring, a for single torsion spring). What is the advantage of using double torsion springs?
A double torsion spring has twice the spring constant of a single torsion spring. (A load equivalent to two single springs is generated.) Double torsion springs have the advantage of being superior in shape balance to using two single torsion springs, but the price is higher.
