Question こんちゃん

Hello, I am trying to make a leaf spring after heat treatment using the material SK-5.
Could you provide me the following information:
Yield strength (yield point)
Tensile strength
Longitudinal elastic modulus (Young’s modulus)
Transverse elastic modulus
Poisson’s ratio
Density
Bending fatigue limit
Thank you in advance!

Answer Tokai Spring

Thank you for your inquiry, Kon-chan!

– SK5 Tensile strength after heat treating is about 1460 to 1700 N/mm2 and after molding (HRC40 to 50) is 1250 to 1760 N/mm2
– Longitudinal elastic modulus (Young’s modulus): 206000N/mm2
– Transverse elastic modulus: 78500N/mm2
– Poisson’s ratio: 0.30
– Density: 7.85g/cm3

Thanks again for your inquiry (^^)!
