A question regards to Extension spring with hook. Our company is using an extension spring manufactured by other company. this spring is used for lock assy, hood. Spec for this part is that, when the spring released, it may be able to lift up hood = 100N more than 15mm. Currently we have a new part to use this spring but it failed to provide enough lift force for part with same load. Can please help to provide us a formula on how to design a spring that able to lift up a load = 100N more than 15mm. The maximum working for spring is fix at 75.70.
Spec :
Free length = variable.
Thickness = 1.8.
Material = SWC.
Mean Coil = 12.4
Total Active Coil = Variable
Outer Diameter = 14.2
