Question Spring Newbie

Please tell me about the mechanism of rotational torque generated when the spring is compressed. Also, can the rotation torque and rotation angle be calculated easily?

Answer Tokai Spring

Spring Newbie, thank you for posting!

When the compression coil spring is compressed, rotational torque is generated because the wire has a spiral shape. Rotational torque and rotation angle may be estimated, but in many cases, it is not strictly consistent with the object. We are continuing our research to enable highly accurate estimation, so if you have any problems, click here to contact us!!!
